First Street North - We want your views

Manchester City Council and Ask Property Developments are currently working up proposals for the next exciting phase of the development of the First Street site for a cultural facility including a new home for the Cornerhouse and Library Theatre Company, two hotels, small scale retail units, food and beverage uses, a multi storey car park and first class public realm. The First Street North site is located between the Number One Building and the railway arches on Whitworth Street West.

We very much want to hear your views on our proposals and your comments will help inform the final planning applications which will be submitted to Manchester City Council in the coming weeks.

If you would like to learn more about the proposals, we will be holding an exhibition in the reception area of Number One First Street at which you can make your views known. The exhibition will run from Wednesday 11 January until Friday 13 January 2012 and will be open daily on the dates and times shown below:

Wednesday 11 January 9am until 5pm
Thursday 12 January 9am until 7pm
Friday 13 January 9am until 5pm

In addition, we will be holding two drop in sessions for local residents and businesses on Thursday 12 January 2012 between 10am and 2pm and also between 5pm and 7pm. At this drop in session you will be able to ask questions and make your comments to representatives of the project team before the planning applications are submitted.

How can I comment?

Manchester City Council and Ask Property Developments very much welcome your views on the proposals. You can comment on the proposals by visiting the exhibition and completing a questionnaire which will be available. Comments should be received by Monday 16 January 2012.
