SCENE: Celebrating Manchester Pride at First Street
As SCENE: Manchester’s LGBTQ+ Film and TV Festival draws to a close this year, we reflect on a vibrant programme of events, films and queer storytelling at First Street, aligning with the huge city-wide celebrations for Manchester Pride.
Here at First Street, we saw bustling crowds gather in the Tony Wilson Place to enjoy a variety of shows and films on the outdoor screen, including cult classics like The Wizard of Oz, Wicked and Mean Girls – the perfect post-work wind down with a few drinks!
First Street workers also came together to celebrate Pride with a relaxed, informal ‘Sip & Paint’ event by Cork & Canvas, including a guest appearance from local drag queen Tiffany Jayy!
