We’re thrilled to have ‘Girl Gang’, a hand painted electric-blue guitar inspired by all-female rock band ‘PINS’, displayed in HOME as part of the ‘Music for the Senses‘ art trail.

‘Music for the Senses’ is a  free-to-view, multi-sensory art trail that celebrates the people, places, moments and instruments of Manchester’s music scene.

The trail includes over 40 individual guitars which have been transformed into artworks and displayed in venues around the city, as part of a HUGE celebration of Manchester’s LEGENDARY musical history.

At the end of the trail the decorated guitars will be auctioned to raise money to support grassroots music projects and venues throughout Greater Manchester, via a dedicated music fund managed by Forever Manchester, in collaboration Manchester Music City.

“My PINS guitar is titled ‘Girls Like Us’ after their record of the same name, I love painting tough femmes, so this seemed a perfect opportunity !” – Kim Thompson, artist.

The guitar will be displayed in HOME from 7th July – 31st August.
